Full Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with all other communications, including advertising or promotional items. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating all claimants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

1. Eligibility: The promotion is open to residents of Great Britain aged 18 or over only, excluding employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, their agents and anyone else professionally and directly connected with the running and marketing of the promotion and the provision of the prizes.
2. Promotional Period: Entries must be received between 00:00:01 01.10.2020 and 23:59:59 31.12.2020.
3. Internet access and proof of purchase are required.
4. Entry instructions: To enter the promotion, purchase an eligible Glade product  (“Eligible Product”, see rule [7] for a list of Eligible Products) from any participating retailer within the Promotional Period. Please retain receipt as proof of purchase. Receipts must be dated within the promotional period. Visit www.gladejourneytolapland.com, enter your personal details, upload an image of your receipt and enter the last five (5) digits of your Glade candle product barcode. Separate purchase and receipt required for each entry. Every entrant may download a selfie filter or recipe when they enter the promotion.
5. The Promoter will not accept:
   • Responsibility for entries that are late, incorrect, illegible, incomplete, defaced, corrupt, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, hardware or software failure of any kind or any other reason; or
   • Proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Promotion.
6. No third party or bulk entries. Entries via third parties or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified. If it becomes apparent that either an entrant or household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, fraudulently falsifying data, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter using identities other than their own or any other automated or non-automated means in order to increase the entrant’s entries or otherwise acting in violation of these terms, these entrants will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void. Entrants are advised to take care when entering their details; the Promoter is not responsible for mistypes.
7. Eligible products: Eligible products are subject to their availability and while stocks last.

8. Restrictions: One entry per email address per day. One prize per household.
9. Prize fund:

   There are multiple entry routes for the promotion and anyone from any entry route could win one of the four prize trips which are available in total.  However, there is one extra prize allocated for people who enter via the Sainsburys entry route only. 

   Gold Prize: up to 5 x trip for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children under the age of 18) to Ylläs, Lapland. Prize consists of 4 return economy flights from local major/capital city airport in home region to Kittilä, Lapland, transfers to and from airport, 4 nights/5 days in 4-star accommodation in Ylläs.  Accommodation will be in a chalet apartment (including a spa package); dinners and breakfasts included. Trips can be organised for winners once in Lapland and could for example include a visit to a husky and reindeer farm. Trip must be taken before end of February 2022 or Trip will be automatically invalidated. Winner will be given a series of trip date options and asked to select their preferred 3. The prize provider will then arrange the trips. Basic travel insurance (excluding pre-existing medical conditions [and COVID-19 related cancellations]) is included. The available prize trip dates are between 01.01.[22] and 28.02.22.

10. Further Prize details:
    • Gold Prize (Trip to Lapland): The Promoter of this competition has hired Cloud Nine Incentives Ltd. to handle the complete fulfilment of the grand prize holiday.  
      1. At least two of the travelling party must be over the age of 18 years. 
      2. The winner and his/her guests (the “Winners”) must be in possession of a valid 10-year passport (children must be in possession of a valid passport for the trip) and must have a minimum of 6-months validity for the duration of the prize holiday. Once the Brexit transition period has expired, requirements for UK passport holders travelling to EU member states will change.  It is the winner's responsibility to check up to date government guidance before travelling. All entry visas, ESTA forms, and/or travel documents are the sole responsibility of the winner including visa costs if applicable. Cloud Nine Incentives Ltd. does not arrange entry visas. 
      3. If winner wishes to take 4 adults aged 18 years or older on the Gold Prize trip rather than 2 adults and 2 children, it should advise the Promoter as early as possible so Promoter can assess additional costs (corresponding to 2 adults) which will be for winner to pay;
      4. Winners must provide a copy of their passports and those of their guests to ensure names are spelled correctly and are valid and for booking of flights and accommodation.
      5. Winners must give at least 60 days' notice prior to their requested departure date.   
      6. Basic travel insurance is provided (not covering pre-existing medical conditions [and COVID-19 related cancellations]).
      7. The holidays are subject to availability and blackout dates will apply unless specifically pre-arranged prior to the competition being run.  Blackout dates include peak Christmas (December 10 to January 5 annually). 
      8. The winner must take the Gold Prize during the period January 2021 – February 2022.   The winner will be requested to select three separate dates of preferred travel from the list of dates provided and Cloud Nine Incentives Ltd. will work towards fulfilling at least one of winner's preferred date of travel.  Prizes not taken  within 12 months of winner notification will become null and void and the relevant winner will no longer entitled to their grand prize
      9. Unless otherwise stated in the package, all other costs including meals and spending money are the responsibility of winner. 
      10. Once confirmed in writing, travel dates and names of those traveling are not changeable without incurring extra fees and may not be possible if a non-refundable or non-changeable ticket has been purchased.
11. Winner selection and notification: After the closing date of the promotion, winners will be selected at random via an automated algorithm.  The four main prizes will be selected within five calendar days and the Sainsburys-only  prize will be  randomly selected via an automated algorithm from those who entered via Sainsburys purchases also within 5 working days. For the avoidance of doubt, entrants via Sainsburys are also eligible for the other four prizes. Winners will receive an email stating that they are a winner. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that the details that they have provided upon entry are accurate.
    • Winners of a Gold prize will be contacted via email by the prize fulfilment company within 14 calendar days of the draw. They will have 10 calendar days to respond to the winner notification email. Although the Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winners, if they do not respond within this period, it will be deemed that the winner has refused the prize and up to [x] reserve winners selected at the same time as the prize winners will be contacted in the order they were drawn and in the same way as the Gold prize winner. If the prize cannot be awarded to any of the [X] reserve winners, then the Promoter has the right to keep the prize and to consider it unallocated.
12. Each prize is as stated, non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The Promoter reserves the right, in exceptional circumstances, to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value, should any advertised prize (or any element of it) become unavailable for any reason (including, but not limited to, any circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic).
13. The winners’ details (last names and counties only) will be available for a period of 3 months following the closing date of the promotion by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to Glade Golden Reindeer (6787), PO Box 906, Chilton, Aylesbury. HP22 9HR.
14. By entering this Promotion, each entrant acknowledges that if he or she is a Winner, his or her surname and county may be disclosed to persons enquiring, where permitted by law. Any entrant may object to their information being made available in this way or may request that the amount of information made available be reduced, by contacting the Promoter. In these circumstances the entrant acknowledges that the Promoter may nevertheless disclose such information in full to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.
15. Entrants must enter the Promotion using their legal name. The Promoter will verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter will require such information that it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a Prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
16. Where a Winner has been found to be in breach of any of these Terms and Conditions and in particular where a person is in breach of the entry restrictions, the Promoter may nevertheless still enforce its right to disqualify that person and require the return or reimbursement to the Promoter of any Prize even where a prize has been awarded and/or actually provided to the entrant or Winner in question.
17. The Promoter makes no representation or warranty in relation to any Prize provided. Except as specifically set out herein and to the maximum extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law are hereby excluded. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your legal rights are not affected
18. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to  tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion or any Experience, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or any Experience.
19. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation. However, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to ensure that a winner is not disappointed.  For example, if the prize is affected by the Covid 19 pandemic, the Promoter will endeavour to provide the winners with a prize of equal or higher value, see rule 12.
20. To ensure fairness and the integrity of the promotion to all participants, the Promoter will not enter into discussions regarding the running of this promotion via social media, but will respond to questions via [enter email address].
21. Prize winners may be required to take part in publicity in relation to the Promotion with no further recompense.
22. The rules of this promotion are subject to the legal and regulatory restrictions imposed under English law and the parties to any dispute or action shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, unless you live in another part of the UK, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction,
23. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
24. Data Protection: By entering, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Promoter’s partners for the purposes of the administration of this promotion and any other purposes to which the participant has consented. Your personal details will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (GDPR) and any national implementing laws, regulations and secondary legislation to the GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018.
